- THE WRITTEN AND INSPIRED WORD OF GOD
The Bible is the inspired Word of God, a revelation from God to men, the infallible rule of faith and conduct, and superior to conscience and reason, but not contrary to reason. (See 2 Timothy 3:15, 17; 1 Peter 1:23–25; Hebrews 4:12.)
- THE ONE TRUE GOD
The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent, self-revealed “I AM,” and has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association, by simultaneously existing as three distinct yet united persons—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (See Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:29; Isaiah 43:10–11; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22.)
- MAN: HIS FALL AND REDEMPTION
Mankind was originally created upright in the image and likeness of God. Man voluntarily fell into sin, and the only hope of redemption for fallen mankind is Jesus Christ, the Son of God. (See Genesis 1:26–31; Genesis 3:17; Romans 5:12–21.)
- THE SON OF GOD
Jesus Christ was born of a virgin and He is the Son of God. He came to the earth as God wrapped in human flesh to redeem humanity by shedding His own blood as atonement for the sin of mankind. (See Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:31, 35; John 3:16; 1 Corinthians 15:3; 2 Corinthians 5:21.)
- THE SALVATION OF MAN
Conditions of Salvation
Through the grace of God, salvation from spiritual death is available to all mankind. Through repentance from sin and through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, man is saved by spiritual regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit. Man is then justified by grace and becomes an heir of God according to the hope of eternal life. (See Titus 2:11; 3:5–7; Romans 10:13–15; Luke 24:47.)
Evidences of Salvation
The inward evidence to the believer of his/her salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit (Romans 8:16). The outward evidence to all men is a life of holiness (1 Thessalonians 4:7; 2 Timothy 1:9).
- BAPTISM IN WATER
Baptism (immersion) in water signifies alignment and identification of the baptismal candidate with his/her Lord (Jesus Christ) in His death, burial, and resurrection (Matthew 28:19; Acts 19:47–48; Romans 6:4).
- THE LORD'S SUPPER (COMMUNION)
The Lord’s Supper—consisting of the elements, bread, and fruit of the vine—is the symbol expressing our sharing in a memorial to His suffering and death. It is a prophecy of His second coming and is enjoined to all believers until He comes. (See John 6:48, 51, 53–57; Luke 22:19–20; 2 Peter 1:4; 1 Corinthians 11:25.)
- THE PROMISE OF THE FATHER
All believers should ardently expect and earnestly seek the promise of the Father, which is the baptism in the Holy Spirit. With it comes the infilling of power for life and service, and the bestowment of the gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4–8; 1 Corinthians 12:1–31). This experience may be distinct from and subsequent to the experience of the New Birth (Acts 2:38; 10:44–46; 11:14–16; 15:7–9).
- SANCTIFICATION PROCESS
By the power of the Holy Spirit we strive to obey God’s command: “Be holy unto me: for I the Lord am holy” (Leviticus 20:26, kjv; see also Leviticus 11:45; 19:2; Ephesians 1:4; 5:21). Sanctification is the will of God for all believers, and should be earnestly pursued by walking in obedience to God’s Word (Hebrews 12:14; 1 Peter 1:15–16; 1 Thessalonians 5:23–24; Philippians 2:12–13; 1 John 2:6, 29).
- MARRIAGE
Marriage is strictly a covenant between a man (the husband) and a woman (the wife) in the presence of God. God only blesses sexual relations in the context of this covenant. (See Genesis 2:24; 1 Corinthians 7:2, 39; Romans 7:2–3; Matthew 19:6; Hebrews 14:4; Leviticus 21:7; Ephesians 5:23.)
- THE CHURCH
The church is the body and bride of Christ. The church is made up of believers who have been called out of the domains of this world into the kingdom of heaven. The church is expected to exercise full authority on the earth as given by the head of the church—the risen and victorious Lord Jesus. (See Matthew 28:18–19; Romans 12:2.)
Each believer is an integral part of the church, and their names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life (1 Thessalonians 2:4).
- GIVING
There is no compulsion in giving. All giving (material or otherwise) should be inspired by faith, freewill in nature, and with liberality. It is also the responsibility of believers to give to the work of the Lord at home and abroad. (See 2 Corinthians 8:9; 2 Corinthians 9:7–9.)
- DELIVERANCE
The Lord Jesus defeated the forces of darkness at the cross of Calvary. All authority has been given to Him and no evil forces have the authority to torment and harass believers. (See Colossians 2:15; Matthew 28:18.)
- HEALING
The redemptive work of Christ Jesus on the cross provides healing for the human body and soul in answer to believing prayer. (See Isaiah 53:4–5; Matthew 8:16–17; Mark 16:18; John 5:14.)
- ETERNAL JUDGMENT
All mankind is subject to death of the body as a result of the original sin of mankind. The soul and spirit do not die, but Christians will progress to paradise with access to heaven. Those who have rejected Christ will descend to the grave in misery and anguish for eternity. (See Romans 5:12; Hebrews 9:27; Mark 16:16; Revelations 22:11; Acts 24:15.)
- TRANSLATION
The resurrection of the physically dead in Christ and their translation, together with those who are alive and remain unto the Lord, is imminent and is the blessed hope of the church (1 Thessalonians 4:16; Romans 6:23; Titus 2:13; 1 Corinthians 15:51–52).
- THE MILLENNIAL REIGN OF JESUS
The revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ from heaven, the salvation of the nation of Israel, and the millennial reign of Christ on the earth are scriptural promises and our hope (Romans 11:25; 2 Thessalonians 1:7; Revelation 19:11–16; 20:1–7).
- THE LAKE OF FIRE
The devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, and whosoever is not found written in the Lamb’s Book of Life shall be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake that burns fire and brimstone, which is the second death (Revelation 19:20; 20:10–15).
- THE NEW HEAVENS AND NEW EARTH
We, as promised in the Scriptures, look for new heavens and a new earth wherein righteousness dwells (2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21:1).
